I can't believe the difference in speed. Just check the trader page and hover the mouse over the ad pictures...they move in fast forward compared with IE that's slow motion by comparison! Checked with Firefox and it's a lot quicker than IE and almost as good as Chrome.

I'm guessing IE has an issue with Flash, regardless of which update you have and Chrome integrates it easy.

I'm on satellite which isn't the quickest so any help in browsing the Internet quicker is appreciated.

How do others find it?

Cheers,

Mark.

Mark if you go back through the threads (recent ) 'til wed. last, you will find tha David has fixed the known problem & there were to be no more posts of such.
You were not to know probably, so you will probably be forgiven.Ie is equal to the others now if not better.

Cheers,

Bob.

Thanks Bob,

Apologies to David and crew!

I did test the 3 browsers back to back though just before I posted and IE was a lot slower than the other two.

Cheers,

Mark.

Hi Mark
A long time ago when there were others issues here on the Forum (I think about 12 months ago) there were a few problems when using IE and it was recommended by other members to use either Google Chrome or Firefox and the slow problem would be solve. I gave IE the flick and have used both Google Chrome and Firefox ever since and think that they are far superior. Every now and then I try IE and then have to hit the stop button and then see why I do not use it any more.

Cheers
Stephen

Kroozer,

Firefox & Chrome are free.

For Firefox, go to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/upgrade.html

For Google Chrome, go to http://www.google.com.au/chrome?hl=en&brand=CHMI

They are independent of IE so if you don't like them then you just uninstall them and IE is still there for you to use.l

Do yourself a favour and download Chrome and you will not regret it

Cheers,

Cruiser

Have used Chrome now and again but don't like the default smaller script.

Anyone know of a way of changing the size permanently?

I was using Firfox, had a few issues I could not sort so went back to IE7, downloaded IE8 ( by mistake )
What are the major benefits of Chrome?
does it have multiple tabs in one window like Firfox and an *add blocking* system?

On my Windows PC, I use Chrome - the fastest browser that I have ever used. For work on that PC, I use Firefox as we have applications for work on Firefox. IE - what a slug.

On my Mac, I use Firefox but will change to Chrome when they have a version that works properly for MAC's
